Emily Lee is a multimedia artist whose practice investigates form as a social apparatus. Her sculptures study the poetics of infrastructure in the relationship between systems and subjects. She aims to reveal and negotiate with the non-art of art—the physical labor, the social contexts, the historical frameworks. Here, sculpting takes place in both material and immaterial ways: as objects, writings, or gatherings. This practice envisions physicality as a malleable condition.
